The dubbing is very slow. I had heard that Japanese VAs will speak especially slowly in early dubbed JRPGs and anime, because they're targeting an audience of kids, even if nudity and sexual jokes were stuff that they'd have no qualms about exposing kids to in their shows and games.

I'm trying the Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter demo, and while this game came from a more mysogynistic time, Falcom made NO attempt to not be weird in their intro to this remake. A dad comes home to his daughter and presents an unconscious boy to her as a "gift". It comes off like RPG-Maker writing.
