You see it like I see Ugni Blanc and Pinotage.

I have no idea. I got some 2001 Volnay Clos des Angles and village 2008 Fixin on the same shipment, both were very good

I had six bottles of 2002 Meursault Perrières. I'd ordered them on a DI and cellared them immediately on arrival, but none were in good shape. The last was the best, tasted last year. It was beautiful for 15-20 minutes then turned into an oxidized mess. I don't have great hopes for the last bottle.

I can't see Vance getting anywhere near the support Trump is getting. I still can't believe how the GOP has kowtowed to him either though.

2013 Domaine St Nicolas Fiefs Vendéens Pinot Noir and 2022 Delaille Pinot Noir. I do love my Loire Pinot Noir. The St Nicolas tasted a bit like red Burg, but started to fade after 30-45 minutes. The Delaille was soft, bright and delicious. I wish Cheverny allowed 100% Pinot Noir.

The wines are certainly good, but I don't think the quality of the new wines is substantial enough to justify the price increase.

I drank all my (2014) magnums of single vineyards. I do still have a 3 liter of the regular 2015 Gattinara. The 2014s were the last made by the previous ownership and were fantastic.

As you suggested, I'm not a fan of oak in rosés. I've also found the acidity to be lacking in the Summer bottling. I looked for the Own Rooted on their site, since I've never seen it. They lost a 2021 vintage. Oddly enough I saw a Claletto 'Amarone' made from their estate Cab.
Limestone Cowboy (@rabelais1.bsky.social) reply parent
I always found that to be the worst of their rosés. I think the regular estate rosé blows it away. But it doesn't have that fancy bottle.
