Enemies of Trump, so maybe 75% Democrats.

Sounds like the attorney came in with a list of names to ask about. Wouldn't those be people Trump deems enemies? So it would be democrats and those who has thwarted or embarrassed him. Probably people who were also involved.

Not each and every prosecutor, no. That's a minority of them. Most are prepared to quit if they're ordered to do one of those. Why do you think so many have quit? There have been departments where the order went attorney to attorney as each one resisted, then resigned.

They have been getting through several court cases with the "reasonable person" standard. They assert that no reasonable person would believe anything they said. The courts often agree. If the Dominion case had gone to trial, I expect they would have tried to sell that to a jury.

The smaller split leaned into their version of Christian values. There are other evangelical churches, some without the bigotry that gave MAGA a foothold.

Sort of. The biggest evangelical church split and over half went Christian Nationalist. That group still calls themselves evangelical, but they embrace none of the values.

We don't know because our courts recognize international IP when it's convenient. We buy in ignorance as sellers get rich off foreign trademarks.

I thought about that. Bukele isn't like Trump. His evil is planned and tactical. He's getting $60k/year to hold those men. As long as that's true he will probably keep them alive. The Trump regime has little reason to admit it's possible to bring someone back. That's a huge problem.

I know. Here's the most tragic part. He needs to be the face of those we'll never get back. Because we won't. There's only one abductee with any chance of rescue. The courts are on their own, here. It's good that Trump angered Roberts. Otherwise, they would still be sending people.

That phrase wasn't used to start small, disorganized boycotts. It was used by local leaders in a list of grievances. It wasn't a bluff, and they weren't overplaying their hand.

Yes. But nobody was complaining until yesterday, so it seems this is a DOGE plan as opposed to recklessness.

I think you're making a similar distinction to the one Adam Kinzinger made. You must not brag or act superior. But you can call out a problem that leads to cruelty. I didn't get that exactly right, did I? I'm having trouble finding the right words.

Good point. If someone owes a lot, they should probably get an accountant who can help without delay. I think H&R already rolled up the sidewalk, but accountants are everywhere.

NBC picked out sensational data. Other articles do the same with bits about AOC or Corey Booker. The trending changes aren't just on the right. We have increasing polarization. Maga is more popular, and Progessive ideas are more popular. And while Maga sells a lie, both sides are about populism.

There are so many ways to stall or avoid. But I think you're basically right - they won't let themselves be deposed.

That's what everyone is wondering, including the fancy lawyers. There's a procedure that federal judges can do. If the DOJ doesn't want to prosecute a criminal case, the judge can appoint an outside attorney to act as prosecutor. So if, say, Kristi Noem ignored a subpoena, there are options.

You're right. But Trump pissed Roberts off with a statement. It sounds like Roberts is cutting back on the freebies. Also, SCOTUS did already rule. DOJ attorney is acting like it doesn't mean anything. What kind of idiot does that when you have other matters before the court?

They repeat things until listeners believe them. The truth needs to compete! Our rhetoric has been mild and almost academic. Bernie and AOC can communicate just as effectively. The rest of us need to pay attention.
