I wish people were smarter.
So our leaders are cowards. Are we?
For how many years have we been hearing that we are on the verge of a constitutional crisis? We have been past a Constitutional crisis for as many years. Our leaders are cowards.
What passes for wisdom these days is folks simply telling us what we already know. Am I right?
The places we used to look for wisdom don't exist anymore. We are on our own. We need to think for ourselves. We need to trust our instincts.
So bottom line is that the people in power don't believe the rest of us are people. They can do anything they want to us without guilt, and we're just sitting here letting them do that.
Dumping hundreds of minor children in Guatemala, known for its child trafficking problem, is as evil as evil gets. For a long time I didn't believe in evil. I do now.

I just saw a headline in the Guardian that described fake as extended reality. This should scare everyone. Normalizing a departure from reality is so dangerous I can't even begin to list the ways it could kill people.
