You might want to check into cruises, depending on where you live. They can be a pretty inexpensive way to travel and see multiple countries in a week. There's also a website called Going that will notify you when low airfares are available. The free version is pretty good.

It is very expensive to fly and that is a big problem. However, people in the rural south buy $15,000 ATVs, boats, expensive trucks and other toys they don't need. I went to Nepal for 30 days in 1997 for $1500 total, $1000 of which was the plane ticket. Paid for with student loans 😀

I drank raw goat milk from my own goat that I milked myself. There is a whole process for cleaning the teats, filtering and icing it down immediately. I would never trust anyone else's raw milk. I didn't let my children drink it, either. Mostly, I made it into cheese. It's much safer that way

He's having trouble with his right leg. Watch how he doesn't put weight on it as long as he does for the left leg. I'd guess the weakness is from a previous stroke. He used to swing the right leg out to the side when he walked, but that's gotten a little better

She was fine! I've had several animals go missing for a day or two. The worst was a puppy, one of a litter of 5. We were all on a walk in the woods and she disappeared. I think she must have gotten scared and hid. It was 2 days before she came back! I think her mother must have tracked her down

I had a young goat disappear for about 24 hours. I couldn't find her anywhere. We have 30 wooded acres, so it's difficult. I was so relieved when she showed up the next day with a majorly swollen head! I assume she had been stuck and managed to free herself

Thanks. Of all the deaths on the farm, I took his the hardest. I had a Great Pyrenees who got bone cancer several years before Charlie. I insisted that the vet amputate his leg and it only bought him a few months, but at least he was pain-free and happy for a little while

The Anatolian, my best dog ever, got a bone tumor that caused his leg to break. I had to have the vet euthanize him after I found him out in the pasture, unable to move. Life on the farm is tough for animals and the humans who love them

Yeah, no kidding. Molly was my dumbest goat 😆. I had 2 guardian dogs and the goats didn't mess with the Anatolian Shepherd, but Molly picked on my poor little Pyrenees. Molly had a huge tumor on her neck and couldn't eat anymore, so I had the vet put her down. I can't stand shooting them.

One potential problem is that it might be difficult to get attorneys to take legitimate cases because they work with law enforcement. Plenty of people would file nuisance suits to try to win some cash, but that could be dealt with by making the loser pay expenses

That's basically how it works with doctors employed by hospitals. The hospital pays the premium, so they have some input into whether the case should be settled or taken to court. The hospital is usually named in the suit, too, because they are the employer.

We get sued when we're genuinely trying to help people and did nothing wrong. Most of us have been frivolously sued and had to settle because it's too expensive to fight, even with insurance. Premiums run about 25% of income! Qualified immunity is BS
