I know! We were so looking forward to cooler weather on this trip. The weather has been great just not as cool as we expected. Will end up in Banff in a couple of days with highs in low 80s. Hoping SW MO does get rain!

Have seen zero news about how the BBB lets ACA premium subsidies expire at the end of 2025. The high deductible bronze plan for me and my son would be $1350 a month without those subsidies (it’s $176 month now). An increase of $14,089 per year. I think people will forgo health insurance.

Nearly half of all the rural hospitals left in Missouri are at risk of closure — the proposed Medicaid cuts will likely finish them off. Closing these hospitals not only harms the people in these communities, but it will also hasten the death of these communities.
Republican senators have been racing to pass their bill before people learn about these numbers. But at some point Americans are going to notice anyway. Including the ~half of Medicaid recipients who voted for Trump.
