Vermont and Wyoming each have populations lower than Washington DC. Why not make DC a state? Then an invasion like Trump's would cost them two senators and a congressman or two.
Well, if we fight among ourselves we'll never win again. We need to compromise with them when we can. New voters often have strong views but never actually vote in numbers large enough to have much effect. Acrimony within the Party certainly won't encourage them to actually vote!
Sadly, young left wing voters always have stayed home in droves. Had they voted there would have been no W and no Trump.
