As a standalone, rompy EDA, I quite liked Demontage. The PDA Illegal Alien was originally pitched for TV for Season 26, rejected in part because it had a WWII setting and Fenric was already in the pipeline.
100% agree. I also like that they don't try to disguise the fact Bond's older, and it helps kick off the plot.

Some Bond songs are great but have the wrong singer, and vice versa. But I think the best combinations of singer and song are Goldfinger by Shirley Bassey and (the controversial one) No Time to Die by Billie Eilish.
Denise Richards very believably plays a scientist who’s never been taken seriously because of her looks. Highly underrated performance.
You can tell how dedicated James Bond is to the subtlety of effective spycraft by the fact that his catchphrase is pointedly telling everyone his real name. Twice.

Jenna Coleman sprung off Doctor Who into a great career, and rightly so. Matt Lucas allows the Doctor’s gruffness to be funny because it doesn’t feel threatening. Heaven Sent is an amazing piece of SF AND character drama.
Dramatically fascinating, and brilliantly acted. But making the oldest Doctor also be a grumpy old man for so long is a predictable choice. It’s so much more fun when he goes against that with fun, cheeky moments. And Capaldi/Mackie’s chemistry is up there with Baker/Sladen and Tennant/Tate.
TWWFTE is an easy 7/10. TWD is 3/10.

I have not seen the latest ep yet. I found the first three to be just about fine (the end of ep 3 is annoying in a “Let’s not do anything too interesting” way). 4-7 have been varying levels of pretty great. But I do feel that the risk taking of the first two seasons isn’t there.

Red Dwarf Series III totally abandoned its intended opener, ‘Dad,’ as the male pregnancy plotline started in the Series II finale was deemed impossible to resolve without resorting to cheap stereotypes. Ten years later, Enterprise said “Hold my beer” and made ‘Unexpected.’

I get the desire to prompt and share AI-generated images. "Give me Captain Fartballs as a Clyon!" I get that. What I don't get is the inordinate anger from the prompter when you point out, "That's AI slop." They seem to identify with the AI creation, and that's concerning.
