There are four archetype of classes in this 2d10 fantasy ttrpg. We have the martials, the experts, the casters, and the half casters. Martials get extra attack, experts get their specialized action (sneak attack), casters get spells, and half casters get some spells and attacks.
Does anyone know how long it takes to write a 2d10 fantasy ttrpg? I'm at 12+ months and hoping I don't have too much longer.

These classes focus on being the best at a particular skill, tool, craft, as opposed to Attack, Magic, Attack AND Magic. Martial, Skill, Half Cast, Full Cast. 4 buckets. Full Cast has 4 entries (arcane, divine, primal, and psionics). 4x4=16 so we need many more classes. ...yea..
The two BIG buckets for classes are martial (hit stuff with weapons) and casters (hit stuff with magic),some may add half-caster (hit stuff with weapons AND magic). We're going to break out some of the classes from the martial bucket into their own expert/skill bucket.

Intelligence will speak and hear their own words. Wisdom will move. Charisma will exert their will on the world. These requirements come not from MAGIC, but for the character's own body with how it will grab the threads of reality and remake them.
We will always have the appropriate elements available because the threads can be changed. All of this will be done with 1 of 3 parts of the mind represented by Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma. Each Attribute has its own way of casting spells.
Dice, action economy, actions, attributes, proficiency, skill -kindda-, and magic scaling. But how does magic work? We're weaving elemental threads together, but how? The threads map to literal elements (air can be any combination of the gasses on the periodic table).

8d6 is too many for a 3rd level spell. 6d6 too. We'll match the d6s to the spell level, so a 3rd level spell will do 3d6 aoe. That doesn't blow the martials out of the water and still gives the caster a lot of power. How does magic work here? I'm going with Wheel of Time.
As a proud hater of spell slots we're going mana points. 9 always felt like a weird number to top out at, so we'll do 10. A spell costs an amount of mana equal to its level. Easy. How powerful a spell is should be directly tied to its availability.
Dice, action economy, actions, attributes, and proficiency. We have skills, but they're mostly your standard stuff. Nothing crazy like some games. A few have actions tied to them that were mentioned with the actions post. Magic. It's a fantasy 2d10 ttrpg, so there's magic.

This should be an easy layup for @democrats.org. Go hard on the Epstein Files non stop, help people- directly, then drop the files and use government to help people after you win.
The highest a could be is 50, but that would only have a 1% of happening. And that's not fun. Cool when it happens, but not fun when it doesn't. Hard should around 10%, medium 50%, and easy 90%. With this we can set our difficulties with ease.
The higher an attribute can scale, the less impact randomness should have. So, we'll go up to 10. The higher the proficiency can scale, the less impact randomness should have. So, we'll go up to 20. A character leaning into their natural talents will have a +30 at level 20.
Dice, Action Economy, Actions, and Attributes. Next: proficiency. If dice inject randomness into a situation, and attributes represent natural talent, then proficiency is how good a character is at something because of experience.
Strength for melee, Might Save, and carry. Dexterity for light and ranged weapons. Agility for defense and Reflex Save. Constitution for HP and Fortitude Save. Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma may be used for Will Save and Magic.
Making each more valuable. We are going with 7 attributes; breaking the defensive aspect of Dexterity off into Agility and tying it to the Reflex Save. Adding a 4th Save tied to Strength, Might, gives us a more even distribution.
Then you could use Dexterity. Dexterity also counted towards your Armor Class (how hard you are to hurt). All of this resulted with Dexterity being far and away the most valuable ability score. Several different systems have gone to a 4 attribute set up.
Strength got a skill or two, dexterity has several, constitution gets no skills, and then several skills spread across the mental stats. Making those stats more valuable. Then we have weapons. Melee used Strength, unless the weapon was light or finesse.
Traditionally there were 3 saving throws (checks made in response to an action) that there tied to 3 stats (dexterity for reflex, fortitude for constitution, and will for wisdom) making those 3 stats more valuable. Additionally, there were skills tied to specific stats.
We got dice, action economy and actions- skipping right over ability or attribute scores. In the most popular ttrpgs we have 6 stats, usually: strength dexterity constitution intelligence wisdom charisma These 6 are simultaneously too many and no enough.
Gotta be able to pay rent while striking to actually strike.
