Crime is literally lower than it has been in the entire life of every single non-senior-citizen American. If you are under age 65 you have never lived at a time with lower property crime rates, lower violent crime rates or lower homicide rates. Never.

No one is hoarding the supply this is a myth. The places with empty homes are not in the cities where the homeless are or where anyone wants to live, that's why they're empty. Any vacant properties in places with high demand are between tenants, waiting for owner transfer, or held up by red tape.
