Regarding the public toilets in Woodstock, I’d say they are a council money spinner as hapless tourists who invest 20p, only to realise the door fails to open troop over to the Oxfordshire Museum, use the loo, then treat themselves to a homemade scone and tea in our excellent (OCC run) cafe

The Heanor Grammar School triptych saga drags on, the school has been splendidly restored sez Historic England but instead of making it a community asset current owners AmberValleyDC now to lease it to Derbyshire CC (who originally sold it off to developers)

I’m medical next of kin for an Eccentric Friend (war baby born 1944 adopted but no known relatives, divorced 1980, lived like Lady in the Van with NO van until COVID..) she was on Bisoprol and increasingly disconnected until recent hospital stay when it was dropped from list of med 👍 #goodluck

My friend Lesley born June 1944 adopted sometime in ‘45 from an orphanage has never been willing to look for her birth family. Now living with Alzheimer’s she is rooted in childhood memories of feeling unwanted, different & scared. It is no consolation to her when I suggest she is a war survivor
