Looks like the new scheme to connect Hyde Road and Parnell St (which is very important!) repeats the mistakes of the Parnell street cycle lanes. Cycle lane is outside the parking and bus stop. On Parnell st this has led to the scourge of illegal parking, and all the safety issues that come with it
The Irish Government’s refusal to implement a default 30km/h speed limit in all urban areas is a betrayal of public safety. They are ignoring the evidence. They are ignoring our health and wellbeing. Any further delay is indefensible.

So, as expected, BBC Sounds is no longer available. But the promised workaround, using the BBC.com website to listen to Radio 3 live, is not available either. Very depressing.

This report on Easter weekend roads policing is horrifying. It depicts the breakdown of our system of laws and norms around driving. Massive occurrences of speeding, drunk/drug driving widespread, people not bothered wearing seatbelts... and road deaths spiking. This is a crisis.
