Wait, hasn’t he been impeached twice already? When I was a little kid I thought that word meant something. As an adult I’ve learned it’s sort of like a suggestion, or something weaker than that. So what’s the point of doing it again?
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
No, not sensor at all

Yeah, just go limp for the masked pussies while they live out their wanna be alpha fantasies.

I’m a sucker for a good mash up of words. I dont care if it took me 4 tries to pronounce it or not, I’ll always hit that like.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
My first thought when I hear something like this is that’s great. Second is oh wait, is anybody representing any of us? They got a nice lil game going with each other though 🤷🏻♂️
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
I’m fuckin cryin laughing when I need to be quiet at 3am.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
It was fun for a bit, but ultimately it feels like a tantrum by toddlers, and they’ll all calm down and fall back in line eventually. Probably pessimistic thinking, but can anybody blame me for leaning towards pessimism??

This guy sucks so bad he won’t even let people have one of the worst cakes there is

He must not have heard the news. The bells were expensive, so Elon cut em. We’re gonna have big beautiful American made bells though. Some are saying the biggest and loudest bells ever. Probably in about 2 weeks…
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
It’s easy to forget that’s ultimately the first audience they aim to please.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Maybe not humor as in his type of jokes, it’s the placement. Serious convo between Lois and Clark, there’s also a really silly fight in the background to draw the focus away from whatever emotion the scene had. And he does that constantly. But, people are loving it, so I’m fine just stepping aside.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Yes exactly. I’ve had trouble putting it all in to words. Especially when social media likes to draw lines, like if you hate it you must believe this, or vise versa. I was open and ready for a great movie cause I’m a Superman fan. And it just fell flat for me. I think I’m over James Gunn humor.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Well, wasn’t gonna go that far in to details of the movie, not so much a failure but a choice. And I didn’t get the 3 separate post thing. Kinda doesn’t change much of the silly joke I made anyways.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
That’s less realistic in our world than a flying person.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Even though I didn’t like it, the wildest part was when the world hates Superman, the newspaper that I guess you could call a stand in for The NYT puts out a blog post, and immediately everybody believes it, including right wing media. Nobody saying the woke Daily Planet is at it again or anything
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
I’m shocked how much I didn’t like it. The unfunny jokes that kill serious moments take me out of it. I really wish it didn’t, I was excited, even though I was ready for the Gunn jokes, I was really hoping it was closer to Guardians 1 level. Maybe when I eventually stream it I’ll feel different
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
I really went in to it wanting to like it. I’m ok with being what seems like will be the minority opinion. I dunno how anyone cried when Gunn can’t seem to let 7-10 seconds be serious without a silly joke that sometimes doesn’t even land. He never struck that balance better than Guardians 1 for me.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
I hate that I agree with you. Even if you say the physical damage can be repaired. It’s now WIDELY known how unbelievably easy it is to con a sizable portion of the population, which leaves us open to the next snake oil salesman. God forbid that one has an actual functioning brain.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
“Oh no I didn’t mean my homework was in my book bag when I said it was, I just meant the entirety of my bullshit was in there, and I was hoping you wouldn’t ask to see it”
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
I only started watching the show last week (and I’m already in season 3), but the Trumps basically make Gemstone family type moves, don’t they?
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Bernie seems like an alright guy. An alright guy that I have heard enough about for one lifetime.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
He truly is a mess of contradictions. Would be fascinating, if he has just stayed in his lane. Shoulda stuck to reality tv, and be the old nut job telling people “they’re fired!”, he would have the adoration he deep down really wants. Had to go and ruin it, and take us all with em.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
I dunno if I worded that well. Basically it seems like nobody can do more damage to Trump than Trump himself. He was taught how to twist outside attacks to his benefit. But he never mastered how to get out of his own way. Truly his own worst enemy
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
That’s not a bad point. I think they definitely need that leading to the midterms and next presidential election. As for his approval ratings, with Trump the best strategy might be let Trump be Trump, and the approval will evaporate when it’s time for him to actually attempt to lead.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Ok sure, but what’s he campaigning for? As it stands, if this whole constitution thing sticks around, he has no office to run for, so might as well take the hat off.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Imagine Biden waffled like this. And why is a grown man who already got elected wearing a campaign hat, while in a suit no less?? Fuckin wild
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Don’t bother listening to him for sports either.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
It’s a little different when it’s just a press conference being broadcast. This isn’t talking heads on Fox giving their opinions. I wouldn’t call whatever channel a live press conference is being broadcast on a source in the sense you mean.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
It was nice to see this as a scroll past the WWIII of it all. A quick breath of fresh air.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Get the fuck outta here with the office of the president. Glorified civil servant and we have to act like it’s some sacrosanct position. If he lied you fucking say it.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Yeah you’re definitely right. And I basically felt that. I’m maybe late to the party. I know he wrote the Biden book and such. But I used to like Tapper. I’d be lying if I said I’ve watched him in the last 4-5 years though. I guess I was reaching for some reasoning 🤷🏻♂️. Ah well
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
I guess fair enough. Just seemed odd that this person would endorse such a thing. But, I don’t really know who anybody is here, so sure why not 🤷🏻♂️
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Not defending him, just more curious how people see these in general. Are retweets, or whatever they’re called at this point, considered endorsements? Could someone retweet something, and mean it to say “Get a load of what this asshole said”? But serious I’m just asking in general, screw Tapper.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
These handhelds must sell really well for so many to be coming out. I wish I didn’t hate the controls on them. The whole concept seems so great right up until I hold one in real life.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Ok man have a good one
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
It doesn’t matter that the 2 men involved are acting like high school morons. It doesn’t make it a high school level story.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
I guess if we’re implying they don’t tell the truth. But that’s not how this started. This started with you acting like the President and the worlds richest man, who both have a ton of influence over us and the whole world, is somehow not even a little newsworthy. And we both know that’s just silly.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Well then great, cause the times is a news paper. As long as it meets the bare minimum definition, we’re all good.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
This is the president of the United States and the world’s richest man, who has previously been in lockstep, very publicly breaking up. With how childish and powerful both men are, it’s safe to say at the very least this can be categorized as news. But it’s definitely ok not to give a shit.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Adam McKay is probably writing this as we speak. I wonder if Chalamet can play Big Balls.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Oh, it doesn’t? Good, now it matches reality
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Ya see, they like to make Dems seem so sensitive. So you can only be in disarray if you’re sensitive. Repubs are alpha, so they can’t be in disarray. Whatever is happening is what they wanted to happen. Unless it’s bad. Then a dem did it. And that dem should be arrested. Does this make sense?
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
I kinda miss getting directions from someone, and using landmarks. Like “Go straight for 4 traffic lights and make a left at the Payless, if you pass the bowling alley you’ve went too far.” And I didn’t even know I enjoyed rolling down my window and asking strangers directions till it was gone 😔
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
I love when Im stoned enough where the alt text and my inner monologue sink up perfectly. I just noticed the misspelling of sync up there. I’m gonna leave it, cause I’ve also had a few drinks, and why not?
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Eventually, a team reaches a point where you move on. Coaches that won multiple championships with a team eventually get let go. Every locker room and team is different. Its either the Knicks try to take the next step, or they keep running it back with Thibs like the yanks do with Boone
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
I guess they could hire a first time coach. Not sure how else you’d hire a coach that wasn’t fired by somebody else before.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
I think the people who aren’t on the extremes of each side vote for their own interests. It doesn’t matter what we all argue about on social media, the “normies” will figure out not much of what Trump promised is coming to pass. And we’ll just keep calling each their idiots till Election Day.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
The midterms are seriously not as far as you seem to think. Ya gotta get a calendar man
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
🤣🤦🏻♂️ but, then it’ll change back…ah whatever
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Trump had the same thing his first term. Do you think this hurts or something? It’ll just flip again. They’re already turning on each other cause they haven’t voted on bullshit doge cuts
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Yeah, till things flip. You gotta be old enough to have seen the pattern. It’s always easier to be the side promising voters the world. Then you don’t deliver and it switches again. Rinse and repeat.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Oh yeah I know. I saw a few of your replies. He’ll wear it as some badge of honor or whatever, but it’s still funny
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Hey who knows, right. But it is funny when religious people are also pieces of shit.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
I know, that parts the craziest.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
I dunno, I feel pretty good about it. I get a certain type of person being happier with god. Who wouldn’t want zero accountability. Something bad happens, god help me. Something good happens, thanks god. Then you can throw religion in other people’s faces to feel superior. I get the attraction
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
So in this scenario, the people who believe in sky daddy are not the idiots? Or are conservative atheists also smart?
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Then find a new industry, pal
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Buddy, he was condescended to. And not even that harshly. I don’t count that as hurt. But neither do you. And that’s ok.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
What I’m saying is, I don’t care if he was hurt or was treated poorly. And neither do you. Why would you? He’s an adult who chose to do it. Doesn’t seem like he had the skill set for it, but that’s his problem.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Has nothing to do with deserve. He entered a debate. He’s a grown man. Don’t worry, the words didn’t hurt him.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Well, he’s in something called 1 Christian vs 20 Atheists. Presumably he agreed to this. Why is he acting confused? He asked to be spoken to like that when he pathetically tried to play dumb as a debate strategy.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
This feels so damn accurate.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Wait wait, Watters says men shouldn’t have male best friends? What the hell is the angle there? Does he suggest no close friends? If you have a best friend you’re gay?? This take is weirder than the straw one honestly. This dude gotta be so fuckin lonely.

Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Somehow 1.6 billion views feels low.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
That’s fair. I didn’t mean bit in the sense that you’re joking. You seem deadly serious about Jake Tapper, who I think even he would agree isn’t of consequence enough to even hate that much. The guys on cable news. It’s dying a slow death. Change bit to crusade I guess.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
I’m gathering that. I don’t hate Tapper, but I guess I can’t deny your dedication to the bit.

Meh, this whole post wasn’t worth it. So we should like AI cause we’ll have to keep doing what we’ve already been doing, which is verifying sources, except with AI we also get to waste a ton of electricity and hurt the environment a lil at a time. Alright then 🤷🏻♂️ Guess we could just let haters hate

Politics aside, everybody caught up to Tesla, and the design is kinda bleh anyways. It’s basically done. Without the head start, what else do they offer? The few Tesla owners I knew switched to a different ev, and before he deciding to complete his transformation in to a wet piece of shit.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Why are so many people in the replies acting like the symbol was the issue with Twitter, and not that fact that Elmo made it possible for anybody to just buy one? There’s nothing wrong with someone verifying who they are so parody accounts can stay separate.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Why do we have to share a planet with things like this? It’s fuckin Monday, man.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
It just kinda feels like they’re going to keep ignoring it until a consequence with actual teeth happens. I’m not sure what that is. Does the FBI knock on the White House door or something? It sounds stupid, but all ignorable solution are being ignored. I dunno, it’s 3:33am. I got nothin.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
But it’s already been happening for what, a week or so now? It seems like a lot of bluster and quotes, and of course jokes on social media which I’m definitely down for. But, what ACTUALLY happens? Who enforces anything on the executive branch. And if I can add another question, when do they start??
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
I think I’ve asked this before, but not sure I got a clear answer. What actually happens if the executive branch decides to not listen to either of the other 2? I had this conversation with some friends earlier, who are intelligent people, and they definitely tried, but nobody was sure.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Here’s my question, and I know it’s uninformed right out of the gate. What can be done to stop this? The most powerful and rich people in the world are or will be getting behind this, is it a lost cause? My faith in the system is nonexistent at this point. Hate to sound so fatalist.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
They really have taught us all that none of these laws matter, and it’s all a house of cards. I guess we always could have assumed that the executive branch could just ignore the other 2, we just never saw it in practice. We’re cooked.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Social media is fuckin wild man. I get that, cause I’m optimistic mostly, but who the hell could blame someone for being pessimistic these days? Seems like a pretty natural reaction.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
I feel like I gotta be missing something here. Is this argument just about the guy turning off replies? That can’t be it right? Cause who gives a fuck? His point seemed kinda right.
Salvatore (@sa1vatore.bsky.social) reply parent
Not for nothin man, we can look at it all we want. YOU gotta do something about it.
