For clarity, I wasn’t flying back to the states when I was NZ, but the gate with this sign was next to mine and caught my interest bc it seemed very odd. I was pulled out of the boarding process a week later flying back to the US from Japan, because of the US Gov coding me for SSSS.
Ironically after questioning this in NZ & thinking it was government overreach, when I was finally flying back to the states later in my trip, I was pulled from the line at the gate when I scanned my boarding pass to board the flight for this but not every country tells you it’s the US Gov doing it
I saw this sign in New Zealand 🇳🇿 & asked about it & the US is the only country that is forcing extra screenings at the gate for departing passengers. They are doing this all over the world but NZ was making sure passengers know it’s the US doing it not them.
