Political violence disproportionately hurts people with less power, not people with more power. Political violence will disproportionately hurt people of color and women and LGBTQ people. It’s not fair, but that’s the way it works. Celebrating political violence means at best indifference to that.
Anyone who understands the current ongoing large levels of infections is a "we should talk about the ongoing pandemic" person. Only people who don't understand it would find it odd, and there are some who intentionally want to mislead others (for some reason).
I think it's a huge mistake to focus ONLY on the acute phase of infection and deaths. This misunderstands the long term harms of repeated infections in our population. Saying "during COVID" is misleading as it suggests that the pandemic is over. You might say "during the initial emergency phase".

We need to acknowledge that globally, non-fossil fuel sources of energy are additive to the existing and still growing use of fossil fuel sources. i.e we're not replacing fossil fuels, we consuming a greater amount of them whilst also consuming new non-fossil fuel sources too. Right?

Agreed. We need to understand that non-fossil fuel production/consumption to date is all additive (globally), and that fossil fuel consumption has continued to increase every year (other than 2020, COVID). So we are not replacing fossil fuel consumption, rather we using more energy in total.

You misunderstand. I'm not prodding anyone, and I should not need to read a book to be able make a judgement about the journalist whose article is being published. If there are legitimate requirements for anonymity I can respect that (of course!) but they should be stated.
Why is the columnist anonymous/pseudonymous? @bearlypolitics.co.uk His byline on on EAST ANGLIA BYLINES just had The Bear. I am sympathetic to people who need to hide their identity for legitimate reasons but those need to be stated, gain our confidence.

The ability to proscribe actual terror supporting, funding, acting groups, move quickly and hard against them is really important. Undermining those laws and enforcement in this way is ridiculous.

It seems that instead of learning lessons from the experience of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic and improving all aspects of public health (it's certainly improved my awareness, understanding and valuation of PH) as a society we have gone backwards (value of PH, trust in PH).

The entire UK political/media narrative on welfare is that it is "burgeoning", "a burden" & "unsustainable". But how high is it compared to others? UK welfare at 10.8% of GDP in 2023 (including pensions). Finland spends 25.7% of GDP; France 23.8%: both double the UK.
