Seriously. My 80 yr-old mom has a severe concussion and it’s looking like she may be waiting a year or more to see a neurologist (I’m encouraging dad to request PA-C or ARNP). Dermatologists are at least a year out. Not sure why people think that we don’t have long waits for specialists. 🙄

Think of it more as finding a lane and sticking to one you know the best. It’s easier to learn about one thing that you know really well and can fight back with a good level of knowledge. But it’s totally fine to figure out what things mean the most to you and where you would help the most!
Agreed. Best to learn about one particular issue and fight for that than to be going for all at once. Easy way to burn yourself out. Since healthcare if one thing I know the most about, that’s my main issue (tho, making sure I understand my rights and immigrant rights to assist neighbors when ness.)

Listen, I’m not going to push you to do anything you don’t want to do. But, just don’t use an excuse with breathability, makeup and fogging. These masks are on Amazon for 50 for $20. They are cheap and feel just fine. Just say you don’t want to wear a mask. That’s fine…you do you. 🤷♀️
I easily found a KN95 with a flat front (like an N95) that is comfortable (with ear loops), breathable and doesn’t ruin my makeup. And I bought foam pads to put on it. If you want to actually wear a mask, I would recommend that. 🤷♀️ (Pic note: eyeglasses are new, so didn’t wear here)
Honestly, I started losing faith in the CDC not long after COVID vaccines came out. It seemed to me they were more concerned about businesses than they were about people. The guidelines didn’t really match the science.
I wear masks with makeup and glasses. Foam pad takes care of the fogging and the right mask won’t mess up your makeup. Sounds like a you problem.

Yes definitely. I’m in the PNW and have done camps at the woods (fire risk) and events at the coast (tsunami). There are emergency plans everywhere you look! There is no excuse for this.
I’ve been thinking the same thing. Why in the world would they build a children’s camp there, knowing that it’s in a floodplain? And what emergency plans did they have?

But that all said, I do think their state and/or county absolutely failed them. The alerts were sent out from NWS and didn’t reach the people. It’s tragic and needs to change. But them placing blame on the NWS shows me it sadly probably won’t get better.
We should NEVER find any joy in the tragic death of others, especially children. Having compassion fatigue is one thing and I get that, but anyone thinking that CHILDREN deserved it because of who their parents voted for need a little time for introspection.

Um no. These cases aren’t even close to each other. As I STATED, there was zero evidence that he was even hit by a car, which is what they charged her with. The crime they charged her with DIDN’T EVEN HAPPEN. Whereas, the prosecutors in the OJ case didn’t make up the scenario of THE ACTUAL CRIME.
Yep! If anything, there was quite a lot of proof that he was likely killed inside the house. The judge was corrupt too and should have recused herself since she was friends with people in that house that night. Hopefully justice will come for them.
Neither prosecutor even proved there was a collision at all. That man wasn’t hit by a car at any point, intentionally or not. For the state to even bring this case to trial with that “evidence” was shameful.
Justice is elusive? Maybe for Diddy. Karen Read was very obviously innocent and framed. Neither prosecutor could even prove there was a collision at all. I’d argue Bryan pleading guilty is good for everyone. He’s young and will be in prison for life without parole. Why give him a free pass of death?
