One thing that was lost to COVID has been the excitement around NFP Fridays. I used to come into the office and we'd have a pool running (closest to the pin) on the number. These days, so many people WFH that it's a ghost town in here and nobody cares. IDK, seems less fun.

We used to call this stupidity. There were smart people and stupid people and we let the smart people do the things they were good at and the stupid people were taken care of and didn't need to worry about what the smart people were doing. But now we let the stupid people think they're smart.

I suspect it has something to do with wanting to dunk on those people. For some folks, the fun of social media is the arguments with people you disagree with. If all those people are no longer on your platform it gets a little boring.

I don't know about "eliminating" anything -- all their songs evolve and change over time. When they first changed Echo they described it as a "boot scootin' rhythym" or something. How many different ways will they play so/slow ready? They "eliminate" things until they bring them back (See: Myst)
