My kid went to a Steiner(ish) kindergarten and it was absolutely lovely but we gave her all the books she could eat at home and just enjoyed the chill vibes and woodworking and sewing and so on as an alternative to state school phonics and rigid compliance from the age of four.
Can be, there's all sorts of weirdness about not teaching kids to read until they're six so their heads don't explode and so on. Some schools pick and choose, some are hardline, and unless you ask a lot of questions (and know what to ask) it can be hard to tell.
That's fair, we all have only so much bandwidth for struggle.
In an ideal world you could look at your own candidate and weigh up their views before making a choice but 1:45 on polling days is maybe not the time. For me, I'm confident that the party as a whole is a force for good on this and other key matters, and that's enough given the paucity of alternative

But as other have said, the more good Green voices there are the easier it is to win these fights internally as well as externally
