Isn’t that the class of problem ‘agentic AI’ (or whatever) is supposed to solve? It’s bundled in a ‘book me a holiday’ flow (it’s always booking travel), but ‘find relevant things in pile of other things, do thing with them’ pretty much describes booking (or even just finding) a flight, hotel, etc.

Speaking for myself: 1) don’t know what’s possible so doesn’t occur it can be done; 2) mindset shift from ‘do thing’ to ‘automate thing’, latter more abstract, difficult, time-consuming — like writing a sentence vs. diagramming one. Tools could help a little w/1, not at all w/2.

I just mean there’s no inherent reason to bathe a dog. If they stink, have covered themselves in something, have a skin/coat condition, or have a particular breed characteristic (e.g. shar pei wrinkles) that may be a reason. But it’s not routine care like nails, brushing, or teeth cleaning.

Just anecdata but: lived most of my first 30 years on the planet in IL. Had plenty of steak-cut/home fries. Never much cared for them. Have spent the last 21 years in the UK. I agree with Tom: British chips are a different (and better) thing altogether.

Sorry if you know this but: we’ve had them in the UK for years. They are kinda cool, and insofar as they work for accessibility they’re ace, if a bit slow. But they can be forced open by drunks while you’re using the loo, exposing your shame to the entire train car. Don’t ask me how I know this.

Might be regional, or down to family history. I was born & raised in the middle of northern IL, about 30 mi south of the WI border. Dad was an ex-Air Force mechanic formerly stationed at a SAC base (Ellsworth, IIRC) so that may have played a role.
FWIW, they were called ‘air raid’ sirens in my part of IL too, and as a kid I was told they were for an attack. Using them for tornadoes was secondary.

Yeah, my org (mostly) uses ADO and every retro someone plugs a switch to Jira. IONO though, I’ve used Jira, Bugzilla, ADO and a couple other niche systems and they all pretty much suck.
TBH, I’ve mostly done the driving in Figma in such sessions. Non-designers/artists I’ve worked with aren’t fluid enough with any drawing app, and don’t have pen input devices to do freehand drawing. If both parties need to draw Miro is about the easiest for the non-designers I’ve worked with.
It’s not a freehand-drawing tool, if that’s what you’re after. It’s a diagramming tool, and a pretty good one.
Super easy if you‘ve worked with about any drawing software (including PPT) & all you need is basic boxes & arrows. There’s also a wireframing stencil kit.
I literally mean there’s no need to rush. I also usually try to give a vague time frame to clarify as ‘rush’ can be relative. Like, ‘no rush — anytime in the next week or so.’
