I turned 18 in 1980 and cast my first vote. Reagan did run on fear, tax cuts and welfare queens. "Morning in America" and "Shining City on a hill" were bullshit campaign slogans. I voted for him, but I was just a dumb 18 year old kid. Bork didn't make it, but look at the SCOTUS we have now.
