Set up local trade systems. Many people in the country have things they don’t want or need. Barter can be used to bypass these tariffs. It’s just a thought. It can be used as a means of peaceful rebellion against these intolerable acts.
Maybe people can set up local barter centers without monetary exchange. For instance person A has lots of gently used clothing they can trade 2 shirts to person B for a charging cord for an I phone for instance. It could be used as a means of peaceful rebellion against the current regime.

Since 2017 the smoke has been a major issue across much of the US during the summer months. It gets better after they get snow. I’d say at least a month of each summer (some years more) has had unhealthy air. Before 2017 it was rarely an issue.
