Ever just sketch a mechanical object based off 10% reference and 90% vibes (The reference is probably responsible for that left front tire being outta place. Whole thing needs a lil' tightening up before I start lineart, though)

It's still pretty talky- any time a Mysterious Voice talks to your party, you'll have time to grab a drink, cook a dinner, maybe run a local errand- but overall I find it a lot more fun than 1, and I didn't really hate THAT one
Definitely a big QOL update over the first. They ditched weapon/tool durability, give you a run button, team you up with a partner who's really helpful in combat, and best of all, you can revisit and rebuild your stuff anytime you like!

Same answer as @sharkey.bsky.social : Mountain King on the 2600. Yes, the spider was terrifying, but this was also one of the first console games I played with in-stage background music. It doesn't start 'til you get close to the invisible flame, though, growing louder and louder the nearer you get.
Mountain King. There was that spider on the bottom level you could hear running at you from off screen. All thumpathumpathumpa and then it would wrap you up and leave. You could wiggle around a bit while you waited for it to come back and eat you. Just gave you time to dread it a bit.
