that's the only way i can explain some of the input choices, like Bane's moves for example seem very specific
most bizarrely of all is that fact while they are the majority, not all moves are negative edge with odd inputs characters also have charges, direction taps, and traditional motions where you hit the button at the end. there are still some exceptions

Here's a video Vincent published of him testing the pneumatic mechanism behind the pressure-sensitive button. It's clear why Capcom had to quickly abandon this idea. My wrist hurts from just watching this play session, and I wonder how long the parts could withstand blows from more eager customers.
