It's realistic to expect that full operational capability for many of these systems may not be achieved late 2026.

Ventura a posar ao lado de Orbán é uma pouca vergonha. Portugal lutou para sair da sombra do autoritarismo não para ver políticos nossos ajoelharem-se a ele na Europa.

Basically, you get a huge force multiplier without building entirely new vehicles faster deployment, safer crews, and drones covering all angles.

Cameras, LIDAR, and targeting sensors feed into a control station or drone network. Remote firing systems allow the tank to engage targets without exposing anyone. Existing armor and mobility remain fully usable, now as a survivable ground drone platform.

-For those of you who find these things interesting- Most modern tanks already have the sensors, hydraulics, and control systems that can be adapted for remote operation. With the right retrofit kit: The crew can be moved out entirely or operate from a safe distance.

We need both flying drones and ground drone platforms (like modernized tanks) today not just aerial drones. Drones scout and strike, ground drones carry firepower and clear paths, and infantry follows safely. The battlefield demands this now, not tomorrow.

° A little Russian style “GPS shrug” could save billions and keep systems resilient under attack. Satellites are nice but never bet your plane, train, or drone on one signal alone.

° The fix is simple but takes work: °° Invest in alternative navigation systems (Galileo, INS) °° Train pilots, drone operators, and controllers for GPS-denied conditions °° Harden critical infrastructure against electronic interference

° Reality check: GPS is weak. Signals from space are whisper quiet by the time they hit Earth. A nearby jammer can drown them out easily. Russia knows this. Do we?

° Europe? Mostly GPS dependent. No backup = vulnerabilities exposed in seconds. A single high-power jammer or outage could disrupt flights, ports, and supply chains.

° Russia doesn’t panic they shrug. GLONASS + inertial navigation + trained crews = planes and drones keep flying even if satellites vanish.

🧵 Time for Europe to Start Thinking Like a Russian GPS-Wise ° Satellites are convenient until they’re jammed. Europe relies heavily on GPS for aviation, drones, logistics, and energy grids. One disruption, and systems scramble.

Europe isn’t shrugging at GPS today because it’s easy to rely on but Russia’s experience shows it’s smart to assume satellites might vanish at any moment.

Additional steps to improve resilience: °EU-wide monitoring of gas flows and storage °Strategic allocation plans for critical industries and households °Public guidance on energy conservation if needed Planning ensures Europe can respond effectively to possible pipeline interruptions
