Mine means freedom, safety and such a big help that I've come to love it. Your comfort > what others think. The first step is always the hardest. And you shouldn't have to be in pain when there's an alternative :( Bravery is doing things afraid, after allππ»ββοΈ 4/4.
Also, walkers are surprisingly easy to customize, and mine has pretty much saved me from so many flares. It now feels like safety. It's going to be okay. It's hard to accept that you need to use mobility aid, but when it comes to it, if it makes your life even a little bit easier, it's worth it. 3/4
fairly tall (173cm which is pretty tall for a latina), so people tend to look at me even more. However, besides some shitty medical professionals (and teens saying stuff behind my back lmaoo, kids istg) I've realized that I've almost exclusively got kindness from others. 2/4
It does take some bravery to go out with it at first, especially since it's marketed towards older people and people tend to look at you when you use it. But when you realize the stares are out of curiosity and not judgemental, it gets better uwu. I dress up weird for my country and I'm 1/4
Right? I didn't think that so many of us used them, even though I knew a lot of us are disabled. I hope to see them more often in artπ»ββοΈπ so that representation grows and it's more normalized in younger people.

Thank you! It's sad how some people treat mobility aids as limitations, when in truth they help so so much. The lack of accessibility in public spaces is what limits us, not the mobility aids. And something that gives us freedom should not be viewed as limiting or something to pity.

i think i finally broke down, im sorry everyone, i feel so so bad im always optimistic and try to stay positive and do my best and I really need to rest im so so tired
at this point, I really want to take a break from cms, one that I choose instead of my body forcing me to, so I could focus on myself a bit. but I need it to survive, to pay for meds and stuff and it sucks so bad jfdhh. I love doing art, though. But dang I need a break from life.
Dude my body has been doing so bad recently that I may have to refund a few cms, focus on finishing less ones on time, and rest. How am I going to do it? I'm not sure, but it is my responsibility regardless. I really do hate what my body had become sometimes.
