Yeah we have the meat grinders for the auxiliary unstaffed entrances. The normal turnstiles are always staffed. For new stations 60% of entrances need to be accessible so you can only use those if you have at least 3. Check out the new Damen Green Line for the bad consequences of that rule.

I just think this might be a place where what people say and how they behave are very different. Do parents in places with cheap childcare (or universal pre-K) have more kids? My understanding is "no". (I do think we should have free childcare, but I do not think it would affect avg family size!)

On the one hand there's a non-material hypothetical increase in the chance of "terrorism" on the flip side the system will fulfill its legal and moral obligation to be accessible to those with disabilities. Who is to say which is better?
It's more that the result is a few injured pedestrians and a damaged truck. So, not really any different than any other sidewalk incursion.

By Sherman Park the rear bus has caught up with the lead bus and they've swapped places (I checked the vehicle numbers). They will now leap-frog each other all the way to the end of the line, leaving a big gap in service behind them. Could this have been avoided by holding the second bus by 6 min?

I just watched these two buses be dispatched 4 mins apart (schedule says every 10m). They've already bunched to 3m apart in the first mile of their run, because the first bus had an 18m gap before it so it is slowed down by picking up lots of ppl. Where's our active dispatch management?
