I volunteer an animal shelter. One of my favorite cats had been sick since he came to us and they were trying to figure out what was going on with him. They figured it out, he finished his course of medicine, and today he left for a foster home to get a shelter break and lots of love!

Same! My two boys were raised in foster (from 4 weeks until they were a year old) and want outside all the time. My girl lived most of her first 4 years as an outside/garage cat, but she’s been inside since I got her and she’s made it clear she has absolutely no plans to go back out.

Here’s something positive: one of my favorite kittens (at the shelter where I volunteer) got adopted today! She’s the last of her litter to be adopted and she’s been sitting there by herself for about 2 weeks. Today she got to go home!

When my Dachshund (🌈) was only 5 months old and all of 5 lbs, she backed a full grown Great Dane into a corner at doggie daycare. He was too terrified to move until humans intervened. She already ran the place at that size, she got to 13 lbs, but any more would have been too powerful.
