I think he’d try to present himself that way, but his problem is he’s flipped positions so many times that he comes across as insincere and weird. No one will buy it. Trump has an ethos; Vance has a lust for power and nothing else (like Cruz). It’s off putting to say the least.

Trump doesn’t actually care about public health. The easiest thing would be for him to install some careerist who will just keep the ship running and stay out of the news. His disinterest is actually a benefit for us in this case.

The first time I encountered this was when I was a kid. We had just moved several states, we were in a hotel for a week, all of our stuff was with the movers, and we still had to go to school. We ate out every night, but we didn't know any good places where just moved to and it was awful. So awful.
I lived in a hotel for 7 months. I got a horrific flu, dropped down below 100 lbs (I'm 5'5" for reference), and by and large had a horrific time. I watched The Shining towards the end and found it deeply cathartic in ways I don't fully understand.
