Rewartched Spielberg’s WAR OF THE WORLDS for the first time in maybe 20 years and was kinda blown away by it. I’d forgotten so much. Incredible scope and scale to it. Now I am so freaking ready for his 2026 UFO flick with Emily Blunt and Wyatt Russell. I’m expecting some pretty great things!

It's Jack Kirby's birthday. 28 August 1917. Romance comics, Cowboy comics, Monster comics, Superhero comics...Jack was a visionary of all. Marvel is practically built on his work. Considering how much of DC depends on his Fourth World creations, one could almost say the same thing.

And just to add- this book is also a timely look at where we’re heading in the present with its corporate overlords, class warfare, treatment of immigrants, a Gestapo like police force, and Krypton’s belittling of science by a clueless ruling bureaucracy. You can imagine how well that works out. 🔥
