Make no mistake, everything that’s happening in the United States is being significantly enabled by the right wing oligarch capture of media. Every other country needs to do everything possible to keep that from happening where they are. Including protecting the CBC from Poilievre here in Canada.
As right-wing oligarchs were buying up mainstream and social media, the mistake everyone else made was thinking that these purchases were based on a normal assessment of value. Remember when Elon Musk “overpayed” for Twitter? They understood that controlling the message and narrative is priceless.

DEVELOPING: Advocates are seeking a court order to block the Trump administration’s effort to deport hundreds of unaccompanied minor children to Guatemala. Judge abruptly moved 3 pm hearing up to 12:30 after she was notified that some children “are in the process of being removed" today.
Judge Sooknanan: As I said at the start of this hearing, I got a call at 2:36 am [last night] because the government chose the wee hours of the morning on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend to execute a plan to move these children. That's why we're here.

I have dealt with unaccompanied minors. Most of them have families in the US that they stay with, or can stay with. So these children most likely were taken from their homes and families and placed in detention to be trafficked out of the country in the middle of the night. It is evil.
