I also enjoyed the Vesper Holly books, but those are definitely "of their time" and require a youthful eye to enjoy these days.
I loved those books as a young reader but haven't read in decades.

I enjoy reading those sections, because I may have a different expectation than the author and it helps me see where they are coming from.
Personal opinion: Star trek Strange New Worlds s3 e7 "What is Starfleet?" is the first really good episode of the season, and Celia Rose Gooding as Uhura is a standout in this episode. Prior episodes were ok, a few fun, but this is the first episode I would be excited to rewatch.

Amazing Engine had some really cool setting in the line, and I have been a fan of the line since it came out. Some were goofy great, but Kromosome and Bughunters were full stand up great.
