Trump re-writing history again! In WW2, most American aid went to the Chinese Nationalists lead by Chiang Kai-Shek. Ultimately, the Nationalists were defeated by the Communists, and were exiled in what is now known as Taiwan. Americans provided very little aid to the Communists (now the PRC).
It's all very entertaining, but old people can take a long time to die, and a lot of us are counting on it.

I was sent to an (1879) Episcopal diocese boarding high school by atheist parents. Spent a year on each book of KJB in a class of ~12-14 with an ordained minister. The school is secular now. That was close enough & one reading seemed sufficient.
I've read the Old Testament through 18 times and the NT 56+ times. I am an atheist. also read finished the Qur'an once - ugh - as well as numerous Buddhist 3 baskets & sutras plus the Bhagavad Gita. Oh yeah & Douglass Adam's Hitchhiker Guide. I am an atheist.

The book I'm reading has observations on Pacific island culture and I remember the story of the Lord of the Flies type wreck where the children, because they were from Polynesia not a British public school, established a supportive community until they were rescued. It's quite hopeful really.

Drove it w/6-horses in ‘22. It was a pass/fail test w/owner, 2nd generation horse & rider trainer. Tended her 15 horses while she traveled. Her 1st horse was 26 y/o. She had her own baby about 18 months ago. The white one photo.
Mom was a k-12 librarian. Partner of 40 years did k-6 for 10 years. Her kids took about 400-500 books when she died. I have the remaining 1,200 which would make a good post-apocalyptic library.
