I’d finished my A-levels & going out all the time, having found my tribe. My dad had died while sitting my GCSEs 2 years earlier & I was ready have lots of fun. Just back from Reading fest & everyone in the staff room at the supermarket I worked was crying. It was a total mystery to me
Maybe those holidays soundtracked by playlists don’t generate the same amount of nostalgia as the CD holidays because they’re more recent?

Charity shop find of the day (or week, month etc.). Don’t know much about Cimar guitars, but looks to be a Japanese Ibanez cheapo thing. A bit battered, but only 10 tho. Quick cleanup/restring/truss rod adjustment & it sounds pretty good

A long time ago when I worked in a record shop, someone put The Stooges’ ‘Funhouse’ on. One lad clearly didn’t like it & out of politeness said ‘It’s not very relaxing is it?’, which is now my shorthand for anything raucous or rowdy. This Prodigy set is very much not relaxing
