oh hang on I just saw you were looking at the vada pav and not the biryani place I've been banging on about. That was at Shree Krishna Vada Pav at Vauxhall station. It is also excellent, I had the pav bhaji as well as the vada pav there one day and it was *fantastic*.
yep Island Gardens. There's a new one now but I don't know what it's like, we didn't try it as we were on the way to vada pav.

Highly recommend a visit next time you come to London, it is a fantastic, proper London pub for locals. And get a biryani at the nearby curry house too.

never coded a 6809. First assembly language I ever looked at was 6800, just to see how an assembly language worked, before I even got the 6502 opcode list so I could start doing machine code on the PET. Never actually wrotew live code in 6800 though.
move instructions the opposite way round, did my head in going from one to the other lol
I think my favourite bonkers CPU architecture was the NUON where I wrote assembler for its 4-cpu VLIW setup. Each of which CPUs only had a little bit of memory and you had to DMA in data and code overlays on the fly.
vada pav is excellent. I had a pav bhaji too and that was also amazing. We did well this trip, Giles even had *two* cups of coffee he didn't hate!

The weather has steadily improved since leaving London and it's now bright enough out there to make the sheep gleam in the fields.
I have just seen some sheep. Good thing as I do not like going without seeing a sheep at least once per day.
