Yeah they look pretty solid.
Tomb Kings on the other hand... The new #bloodbowl season moves the TK team out of Legend status without too many changes. Guardians get "Brawler", so that's a nice addition - assuming it does the same thing as 2020 - but otherwise remain unchanged other than perhaps costs. Models are sweet though.
They don't really need 4 catchers, so I'd be fine with them going to 2.
Khemri roster didn't change (much) so I guess we'll see. I could see them losing Halflings, but losing 2 blitzers (and their ST access) will kill them. I'd suggest we're more likely to see a new Human plastic set with 4.
Hope not. Humans are a typical tier 1.5 - 2 at the moment depending on rulepack. Any adjustment would either mean Humans are borderline unusable or that everyone else's rosters will lose something similar.
Throwers probably 80k ish Catchers maybe same. Knights pushing 100k The lack of positional options makes them a team you're likely going to be able to field a full roster off the bat. The limiting of positionals does make me worry for the extensive options the Humans currently get...
Mainly because Orc linemen are MV5 but AV10+ Wrestle means they're different enough. I'd pay 55/60k for that. I'd guess Catchers are ST3, AV8+ probably MV7 Not sure if Throwers should be MV6, but theyre usually the same MV as linos, so let's say 5. Knights MV7, ST4 and/or AV10+
So new #bloodbowl Bretonnians... They need a space between Nobility and Humans. What we know is that positionals are 2/2/2 like Vamps. Knights are Dauntless, Steady Footing and block(?). Throwers/catchers are NOS & pass/catch. Linos have wrestle. So I'm thinking slower than Humans but still AV9+ ๐งต

I'm also an engie this time for the tech armour. I did Sheploo Vanguard before and that was fun. I installed the Happy Ending Mod because I couldn't leave my gal pal Tal.
I need to get back to my LE3 save. So far FemShep has been with Liara [1] and Garrus [2], but I wasn't too thrilled with them so I will prolly look elsewhere in 3. Skipped the problematic loyalty and AI missions in 2 without impediment to the story.

And he conceded T16. Managed to score with 4 to go and jammed him up midfield. A satisfying result. Still hate playing them, though.
At least this time my opponent got greedy and fouled before scoring T8 - and promptly got sent off.

Just played one of the more satisfying games on #bb3 arena where opposing Black Orcs lined up with Fungus. Alas, fungus got caught by the officious ref and then his DP goblin was sent off, the coach was also sent off (1+1) and he left the ball open. He conceded shortly after.
I played it as I need practice against bully teams. I figure if I can stay competitive with an obviously weaker team then when I have a better team will be easier. Pretty much ran out of mens turn 14 so conceded then with him about to score for 2-1.
I just ran into one. I'm playing 200k down against Varag Blorcs. Seems silly.

Human were my go-to. Always a decent option with all the built-in rerolls.

Took my first L in the #bloodbowl #bb3 arena vs block-heavy Nurgle. One of those games where seemingly every armour break was a KO. Ogre KO'd for the match in 1st half. Not great game, but good experience.
Yeah. Blorcs seem undertiered this time.
Getting some #bb3 #bloodbowl practice in and Arena is going OK so far. Despite some fittingly average play, my Humans are 2-0-0. Vs Dark Elves they rolled quad ๐ T8 and conceded. Vs Wood Elves, they couldn't do T16 1TTD to win and conceded. I'm guessing it's ppl aiming for 7-0-0?
I've not been very active recently because I've been moving house, but now everything's moved in, I'm planning to fulfil a long-term goal: to eBay my old #40k Guard army and 1st Edition X-Wing stuff. Don't want much for it - just need it gone to someone who'll use it.

Next up in the detol detox: 3rd edition Zug and some 2nd edition halflings. I'm conflicted using 3rd edition stars in my 2nd edition Human team, but *as far as I know* there were never specific Griff or Zug models in 2nd. I'd still like to see rules for Yoshi Komi and Gregor Meissen, though.
(1) I have spent the day with my parents who are lovely people. (2) I have cooked, cleaned, organised and so on. Oh - and fed the cat. (3) I'm still working on this one, but some of the above tangentially qualifies, I guess...

#bloodbowl rumours alert. TL:DR - Khemri vs Brets in starter box. I'm not convinced because it messes with the "Humans vs Orcs" tradition and Brets are a narrow design space now because of Nobility. An interesting one, but I'm sceptical.

The Sunny Dunny #bloodbowl 7s announcement got me all excited for 7s again. It's got me thinking about which team I'd take if I did go. Last time out was Dark Elves, but I wasn't that impressed with them. I won it with Humans a few years ago and did OK with Ogres and Union. Maybe Khorne?

I mean "guard carrier" rather than "ball carrier". Depends on ruleset, but block Ogre is more traditional for use of a double.

Guard Catcher's a bit extreme - but I doubt they'll need that much guard vs Woodies. Woodies will be able to run away reasonably successfully.
Yes, it's hard to pick any hard winners or losers. Vamps do look tasty though - so I'll have to work out how best to deal with that.
Yes. Vamps may be a tricky opponent. I'm considering a few wacky options (like chef Humans...) but will likely see sense before roster submission time.
Last and very much least... T6 - 8p + 2s/6p + 3s/6p + 2stars Goblin, Halfling, Ogre. Mostly memes in here, but each dog has their day. Might see a cheesy Morg or Griff build and with them: who knows...
T4 - 8p + 1s/6p + 2s/6p + star Chaos Renegades, Gnomes, Nurgle, Old World Alliance, Snotlings. OWA perhaps the pick of this bunch, but dodge Gnomes also a worry. 6 primaries and a star would give me some pause.
T3 - 7p + 1s/ 5p + 2s/5p + star Black Orc, Chaos Chosen, Elven Union, Imperial Nobility, Slann, Tomb Kings. If I wasn't on the Humans I'd probably be in here with Union or Frogs. May not be that competitive, but should be fun and at a one-dayer you never know...
T2 - 7p/5p+1s/4p+star Human, High Elf, Khorne, Necromantic Horror, Norse, Wood Elf, Vampires. Quite a few options here. Necro and Vamps should be quite strong - but Necro in particular may be hampered by 1150 gold. *Spolier alert*: I'm taking Humans - although I don't think they're the strongest.
T1 6p/4p+1s/3p+star Amazon, Dark Elf, Lizards, Dwarf, Orcs, Skaven- all meta builds are fine and will do well. Chaos Dwarf & Underworld Denizens - May be overtired in T1. I think Chorfs are still finding their level, so could go either way. I'd argue there are more reliable picks.

I'm at the stage in #bloodbowl tournament prep when I'd decide what to take. The Granite Bowl rules pack is linked below. To my mind this one slightly favours the higher tiers - with (IMO) diminishing returns going down the tiers - but there are some bargains to be had.

Just booked accommodation for this year's Aberdonian #bloodbowl event: Granite Bowl. Aberdeen is where I grew up and where I first played the beautiful game, so it's come full circle in many ways. Alas, tournaments are getting more difficult to attend lately so this may be my last for a bit.

Tells you a lot about #bloodbowl scale creep that my new (old) metal Ogre (St 5) looks little weedy next to a 2016 Orc blocker (St 4). Next edition on 40mm bases perhaps?

I'm thinking there should be a game about someone creating a refuge for oppressed fantasy races who just want to be left alone, but heroes keep attacking to "purge the realm of their insidious presence". Then I remember that Dungeon Keeper exists. And I go play it. Because it's still amazing.
