What I sincerely hope is the government can put in place an unbreakable moratorium on fracking with future oil/gas drilling strictly controlled. Illegal financial incentives by commercial interests to public bodies especially elected political parties/companies must carry a heavy punitive penalty..

Nothing involving the secret services surprise me anymore. I would expect the Home Secretary to take the sources into consideration - if she was told.. In this case I think the sources are all home grown and proscription is necessary to stop further damage and, apparently, violent action.

The problem old British comedies and dramas faced was the way practically all were perceived to be about the middle classes. The coming of ‘kitchen sink dramas’ and characters like the Steptoes and Garnets became the norm. I don’t find many current comedies very funny - probably an age thing …👴
