I love that they're so accommodating... One of my classmates is married to a German woman. We thought, "So you get plenty of practice." She speaks flawless English, though, and has no patience for him while he reaches for the right word. German speakers here have been patient with me so far...
I figure their English will always be better than my German, but they'll know I've tried. It helps to know they are helpful!

Six months ago I joined a German language class and started seriously studying every day. I'm not fluent, but I believe that when I go to visit I'll be able to have real conversations with people and get to know them a bit. I wish them the best.
