I think this correct. In terms of action the worst AEW PPV this year would be an absolute standout show for WWE. I genuinely think keeping people from testing the AEW waters is super important to them because they will experience attrition from some of their fans who get exposed to AEW.

Yeah it was awesome but didnt quite hit the wrestling nirvana that his match with Takeshita did. The Mina and Athena main event was awesome. 6 man ruled and Xelhua vs Lee was a marvel of technical wrestling. Everything in between was good too. Just an excellent ppv.

For sure, but it had the hallmarks of marvel action movies. Set pieces action hamfistedly strung together to map onto a formula. Completely illogical storybeats haltingly inserted into the action. Inattention to the editing of the action that does things like add characters from thin air mid fight.
I'm still mad that Sinners was only a pretend horror movie, but was actually a marvel style action movie. I am not prepared for the marvel-ification of horror I worry it may portend.

If AEW does add a new women's division with tag belts I think they will need to add more mid to low mid card wrestlers to the division (not to put a ceiling on anyone). Ideally you'd want a mix of people the fan base likes already (Bunny/Maki Itoh?) and up and comers.
If it doesn't meaningfully harm AEW it will have been a very big mistake.

Their trainings and Jane McCalevey's organizing for power trainings were so essential to us at a time when we didn't have any grounding in real organizing beyond some general understanding of like political and social organizing.
Some 5 or 6 years ago I remember my plucky little reform group attending labor notes trainings. We have completely reformed our union and were the first State of California civil servants union ever to go on strike in 2023. I will forever love labor notes.

Yeah. It's so important for members to do our part to push for internal democracy. I think internal organizing is extremely important. I personally have a ton of passion for that work and supporting others working to reform their unions.

I understand that labor organizing and union tactics are completely foreign to most Americans, but generally unions do everything for a reason. Their goal is almost always to improve conditions and wages. Lacking a schema for understanding labor actions I think people use a schema they do know.
