A good economy boosts society's defense against fascism. In 2024 we had the best economy in the world; we should have been fine. But we also had severe income inequality, which meant bad people had tons of money to wield new propaganda tools, and inequality breeds grievances that could be exploited.

it’s in demands because it is usually “real” food like human grade meats and vegetables and fruits, unlike kibble which is full of fillers and dangerous ingredients like pea protein (recently discovered to cause heart problems in healthy dogs!). but you can also get lightly cooked human grade foods
so my vets have said that freeze dried raw food is safer than raw meats and bones and my dogs do well on it. that being said, ALL dog food-even kibble-has the potential to have salmonella and e. coli just like human food!
