For those LGBTQ people who are unable to spend Labor Day holiday with family due to rejection, please know you are worthy of unconditional love and acceptance.
This Labor Day (and all other days): Thank the workers who serve you. Appreciate the workers who care for you. Respect the workers who pick up your trash. Salute the workers who get you your mail. Honor the workers who teach your children. Pay all workers a living wage.
We went hiking in the Mt. Hood National Forest this weekend. It felt good to get in touch with nature. I'm revived & restored. I love living in Portland where a two hour drive east gets me in the forest & west gets me to the beach. That's great PNW living! ๐ (Thnx 2 the ๐ฅfighters heading home)

What about the population who care for people who are vulnerable? In '22, my Dr's were debating intubating me for covid pneumonia which i caught from my mom who lived in assisted living. The staff weren't vax'd & gave it to a majority of the residents 2x Good way to 'off' those who use medicare.
I just contacted the VA to find out when I could get my shots (unfortunately, or fortunately, I'm in the compromised category). They said they don't know as they've not had any communication from ? on when to expect the vaccines. This is a large, vulnerable population (the R's claim to care about).
Democrats want you to have equal access to everything so you can decide what is best for you. Republicans want to tell you what to think and deny you what they donโt want you to have.

I have the same problem with my dogs & bananas. If i want to eat one by myself I have to wait until they go outside. I head for the garage so as not to permeate the house with banana smell (& brush my teeth, wash my hands & face). I usually end up sharing anyway. Our much loved animals ๐
