I use Google Scholar to conduct literature reviews on my cancer every six months. Classic papillary thyroid but with an asterisk: I still have detectable levels of a possible surrogate tumor marker after surgery/radiation, but no evidence of macro disease. What that means is TBD. #CanSky

I start physical therapy on Monday for my IV-injured arm. It took me almost 3 months from the day it happened to get a proper evaluation. I've had 2 ultrasounds, 1 CT scan, 1 ortho appointment, & EMG is pending. UCSD weaponized my PTSD & labeled me "overly sensitive." So I had to switch med groups.
Or therapy! I had 4 therapists in my 30s. They looked at me like I had 3 heads once I told them The Story! They had NO IDEA how to help me & likely didn't believe me. CBT didn't cut it, but other modalities like EMDR don't take insurance.
Clearly I need a start my own newsletter. Anyway, it's so wild when I read about medical trauma & there's talk of a support system. Not one person can handle that convo! I melted down on the phone with my BFF last week & I never do that. Haven't heard a word from her since, which is unusual.
The surgeon says I need to my gallbladder removed imminently because a gallstone is stuck in the gallbladder neck. I reviewed my medical records. There’s been a gallstone stuck in my gallbladder neck since at least 2015. I’ve been fine. I can’t lose any more pieces of myself to medical trauma.

My point, is that both times when I have been injured getting healthcare in San Diego, in April 2008 and last May, I was just under 200 pounds. Obese on the pointless BMI and apparently subhuman to medical professionals. 6/6 #medsky

I finally have been diagnosed with cubital tunnel syndrome, after diagnosing myself with it 6 weeks ago. I now need physical therapy. The gallbladder is in danger of becoming an emergency. The surgeon seemed okay but then I found a major mistake: pre-op instructions said I have diabetes. Nope! 4/

I experience Scripps Green as an existential threat. I fear they will kill me. Why not? Consequences don't exist! They told 4 different stories about what happened, including blaming me, "no one remembers." Didn't document their failures in my med record, didn't refer me for trauma counseling. 2/

Moved back to SD-->Arm injured by UCSD Health/denied me care for it-->Return to Scripps for help/w arm -->Need gallbladder removed ASAP but it will be done at hospital that botched my anesthesia when I had cancer surgery 17 yrs ago. 1/
Man oh man I just had to go to the health care facility where I was sexually assaulted & endured medical error 17 years ago. Hadn't been inside in 15 years. Surgeon told me what I already know: that waiting for this to become an emergency will be much worse for me psychologically.
