While “for show” might be likely, I don’t think we can discount that this admin also does things they probably KNOW are blatantly against the law, knowing there is no ramification other than at worst a court loss and hand slap. And in the meantime they will have terrorized the community

Mark, as I recall this was federalizing Arkansas’ own Guard. Do the statutes give a President the authority to federalize a different state’s Guard to use against a third state? Could Eisenhower have federalized and sent NY Guard to Arkansas without permission?

From what I see in the video, this man did nothing illegal. Filming police on a public sidewalk is legal, and I saw no resistance beyond his being justifiably upset at being arrested for exercising that right. I hope a judge tosses this and the man sues.

I’m going to let you all in on a little secret. While, yes, Idaho is ruby red, Boise is a hipster liberal paradise. Great food, cool nature, and the only Trump signs I’ve seen are preceded by “Fuck”. You want to visit.
Fortunately it appears that other than the outer bands it will miss populated areas. Because this went from TS to Cat 5 in 24 hours
Two sets of groups. One came west as animal herders and this was a rail center with need for that. The other group came east after realizing mining for Calif gold was hard, and herding paid better. (Basques came to Calif with the Spanish also and then here from there)
