Before I do any resizing, scaling, compressing, cutting, whatever to any of the art files I work on, I always save-as them as "temp.clip" first, or temp.psd in the old days. I'm really paranoid about reflexively ctrl+s saving while I have my layers flattened or my document at web resolution.

One reason why Batman: The Animated Series made such an impression on me as a kid is because the title cards weren't just cool-looking, but put the creators' names on full display. It indicated that people MADE these. It was their job to write and draw and create. That had a heck of an impact.
