Start by having blue states withhold the money they are sending to the federal government for state employees. Then expand the state tax systems to also accept federal withholding. It can all be worked out with accounting & banking system. But states would need to shield their citizens from IRS.
This administration is a disaster on all fronts: alienating allies while cozying up to dictators, environmental destruction, economy being hollowed out, federal government overreach / lawlessness, gutting education & science, etc. An absolute quality of life decline for 99% of Americans.

The deficit is going to continue exploding. Not from spending on social programs that help regular Americans, but on the military industrial complex, police state and tax cuts to the top .1% and corporations.

The reason Trump has slapped tariffs on the entire world is not to protect American workers. What Trump cares about is being able to get concessions out of other countries and corporations that seek exemptions. It's all about his ability to hand out punishments and rewards.
Expanding research & development & trickle down economics were the justifications for the giant corporate tax cuts Republicans have enacted. What corporations actually do with these tax savings is implementing huge stock buyback that only benefit, C-level executives and, tangentially, stockholders.

Start withholding federal taxes from California state employees. That is worth a few billion right there. At the same time create a system where Californians can submit federal taxes to the state first & then start withholding those funds too.
Currently, 14% of the federal budget is spent on servicing the national debt. That is as much as the US spends on Medicare per year. We must reduce the federal deficit by raising taxes on the rich & corporations so that we can bring down these interest payments.

Withhold federal taxes… California can start by withholding federal taxes that the state takes out of state employees’ paychecks for the federal government. That’s at least a few billion right there. Put that towards funding for our educational institutions like the UC system.
