I remember early November 2023. I think I was the first person on US mainstream media, while at MSNBC/Peacock, to say the G-word on TV. On my show. It was seen as hugely controversial then. It's controversial no longer. It's undeniable, irrefutable, the consensus view.

The way this is worded suggests it's increasing by €64 billion. It's not. It's increasing by just €3.5 billion next year and then €3 billion the year after, to a new total of €64 billion in 2027. That's something like only 2.2% of GDP. Where's the promised 5% of GDP?
