further, coffee shops pay a lot of local and state taxes. on a per acre basis, they are very efficient and contribute a lot to the community on a relatively small foot print. i'd take coffee shops and pizza places before AI/tech companies as neighbors.
what is the cost of living in the area the store is in/barista lives? does that figure include tips? is that figure above or below the median income? what happens to the productivity of the customers when they can't get their quick cup of joe? other opportunity costs?
