I agree partially. It doesn't take many bad decisions with fissile waste products to create a hazard to life for 100k+ years. In Australia, nuclear power is banned federally and in 5 states. We have some of the best solar and wind potential year round. If you've already got nuclear, keep it going.

Time to install a highly efficient heat pump hot water system. I have them installed in two separate houses and they use about 2-3 kWh per day to produce 200+ litres of hot water every day. I also run off solar power, so it's almost completely free hot water! Gas is for losers!
