Yes.
Tjörvi (@tjoervi.bsky.social) reply parent
Time gor article 5, and clandestine surgical operations taking out all jammers. Nothing bombastic. Just a very clear message. Subsequently we act as resolutely on all other hybrid warfare topics. Including the shadow fleet and intercepting any aerial threat coming close to nato borders.
Tjörvi (@tjoervi.bsky.social) reply parent
I've read that the Kaliningrad jammer does GPS spoofing too. Maybe the pilots did not want to take th risk of having systems spofed without it being noticed? This was in speculation as cause of the DHL crash in Lithuania ( Later ruled out)
Tjörvi (@tjoervi.bsky.social) reply parent
Time for activation of article 5. Take out the spoofers/jammers in surgical and clandestine operations.
Tjörvi (@tjoervi.bsky.social) reply parent
some suggest RU is also *spoofing* GPS, which is worse. They're risking sea and air travel in large parts of the baltic sea too. latest incident seems like hybrid warfare type of assassination attempt. Time to use article 5 now, and take out all the jammers/spoofers in clandestine operations.

(No offense...honestly.) Still, Trump has been voted president twice 🤦♂️ (my point proven ) The majority (as of your selfglorified but somewhat flawed political system) will simply reproduce the same result. I'm a bit cynical. I started off as an idealist. Now I'm both. 😅
Tjörvi (@tjoervi.bsky.social) reply parent
My point is that what brought them is the current political culture of their countries. It's not trump that makes americans stupid, it's the other way around. Run the procedure again, and you are likely to end up with a similar result. More to say, but doesn't fit the format...
Tjörvi (@tjoervi.bsky.social) reply parent
They're all a product of their culture. You'd get: - JD vance instead of Trump - Hardliner putin-replacement - either another headliner for Netanyahu, or a soft labour party PM letting hamas grow back, restarting the vicious infinite loop...

No offense meant, but I think the "sugarcoating" of Stalin's role by focusing blame on Hitler as in the western narrative is dangerous. It makes us misunderstand the tradition Putin is carried by, the "Russian mir", and Russia's role as a menace to Europe, and that has consequences in the present.
Tjörvi (@tjoervi.bsky.social) reply parent
It was not like it was hard to convince Stalin to join the party. Germany and USSR both attacked Poland in September 1939, two weeks apart. Open up to the narrative of the occupied countries in eastern Europe. There is much lost in the typical western narrative that I grew up with.
Tjörvi (@tjoervi.bsky.social) reply parent
The Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact was an agreement to split Europe between Hitler and Stalin, in practice using military force...i.e. ww2. It was the single most important event to make the war possible.

The rumour on Swedish military blogs has it that Sweden wanted to donate a bunch of Gripens to UA, but the USA stopped it. Gripen is specifically made for fighting Russia on your own in a contested area since Sweden did not have other foes, other foreign policy ambitions, or article 5 allies...
