Excited to say I spend 0 euros on games and entertainment so far this month. Really living that humble minimalist lifestyle right now.

I've always tried to be very mindful of myself. And sometimes this emotion of loneliness does come up. And I don't think it comes up just for me. I really get the feeling some people are so intoxicated on the modern lifestyle, they don't even feel lonely. It doesn't mean you aren't tho.
Nothing. Don't have to say anything. Just be there. Just slow down. Waste some time together. Don't keep remining people just how little time you have for them. People obsess over "me" time, like friends are the ones stealing it away, not entire unhealthy lifestyles forced upon us.
Loneliness is such a weird problem to address in one's life. Like you can go to a friend and tell them you feel lonely, but most people are genuinely flabbergasted by the idea. Everyone feels it and has sophisticated ways to cope with it. But dealing with it ? Like, what are they supposed to say?

Wonderful video about Look Back and Tatsuki Fujimoto. I rarely enjoy the 'struggling of the creator' kind of stories, but Look Back was earnest and personal, and it's the kind of story that eats at you with time. So I appreciate all the work and critique happening around it.

Sometimes it's better to follow your instincts blindly. Some games are hard to finish because they're not what's needed at the moment.
I can't recommend a fitness armband/ watch enough to anyone who has the "Big numbers good" fundamental instinct. I burned 1200 calories today and it's all through the power of high scores gamer mentality. And get this, I also climbed more stairs than 99% of people. No lift privileges kicking in.

I mean, those are the moments where it's obvious those two are meant for each other. When they do normal stuff together and it's exciting. When they bounce off each other's energy. When talking and a stroll though the park becomes a wonderful memory. Really happy I stuck with this one.
Half of Season 2 Episode 7 of My Dress Up Darling consists of nothing happening besides Gojo and Marin talking, talking pictures, and having great chemistry and it might be the best episode so far. So many romance shows don't let their characters just breathe, it's a shame.
I can't believe modders wrangled the Minecraft renderer so much in 15 years that now it's capable of dislaying stuff like this on a mid spec machine. There is trully no company or team that can catch up to the colective technical masterpiece that is modded minecraft.
I also didn't like the side quests too much, or much of the content besides the main story. Still, the systems in the game are kinda cool, the world is huge, and the characters are all likable. And I enjoyed being 80 hours with this cast of dorks, will surely miss them. That's a lovely feeling tho.
I struggled so much to finish Xenoblade 1; it basically took my almost 2 years to put in the 80 hours required to beat this game. I did get stuck in many places, and I think I was very stubborn about actually understanding the combat system, which felt a bit dull at times.
I love Mikasacus. The most chill person ever.
It's like every generation has the audacity to think they are justified to do what the previous generation has not been. We almost learn the lesson, but then we gaslight outsells into thinking "No, in my case, we are justified" How can we be so bad at growing as a species ? Shameful.

So we have none of the pitfalls of typical isekai. Her power is explained and limited, her backstory takes places in this world. The rest of the cast is important. And we seem to be getting actual character growth. Not to mention the animation and music are good. So yea, watch this show. It's good
But we can have this arc of this person going to school while she is secretly incredibly powerful and it's fun. She is not flawless either, and not invincible at all. She has to pay attention, to reflect on her flaws and to struggle. And because of that, the support characters also stay important
I like Secrets of the Silent Witch I know some people will call it generic because of many other shows. But honestly, this show deserves to exist much more than it's predecessors. This is no isekai. Monica is not granted powers from god. She isn't no high school boy .She's just kinda weird.

And don't get me wrong, games like BG3 are not good because they are D&D. They are good because Larian kept doing the same game for 30 years with increasingly better results. The very happy-go-lucky, marvel style writing I usually in some D&D projects usually makes me wanna not touch it ever.
It doesn't appeal to my competitive side, or my problem-solving side. It feels like people just say stuff to be funny half the time. And the poor DM has to roll with it. Those rules only start making sense in a video game, where there's no DM's favour and no bullshitery from anyone.
It's generic fantasy. The most generic of them all. The original fantasy, it cannot be blamed for it, but that's what it is. And the game itself is fun, but it's an excuse to have fun with friends more than anything structural and intricate.
Let's release another D&D-inspired game, another D&D variant, another edition, another game, another 2 shows, 5 podcasts and 12 comic books. Please just leave me alonee. This is not the world with outstanding lore and incredible stories that deserve 14 billion adaptations.
Man, I love geek culture as much as the next person. But, in all honesty, I see another D&D thing and just wanna be banished. It's taken over like a plague. *Generic mage* and *generic archer* cosplays everywhere you look. How original, mister. Yeah, I want another dice set for 30 euros, please.
For years now, we've had those romance shows that tried their best to subvert expectations, to bring in a trick and smash convention. It's odd to see a romance that plays itself so straight, and how in demand it is. It really is the kind of work that makes you blush repeatedly.
And also a very earnest kind of love between two cute cookies. I'm sure there's gonna be people who don't like the show. Indeed, it's kinda cliche in a lot of ways. But, they say that media and culture go into a kind of cycle between parody and genuineness.
And the dialogue can be very heavy-handed at times and repetitive. But I genuinely feel how very earnest the emotions presented here are. This is what the author wanted to write about. Isecurity, the misconceptions that create conflict and how to overcome them through earnest friendship.
I've been following The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity for years now, first as manga and now as anime. And I find it really interesting. It feels like a story with a very earnest writer. Sure, I don't think the writer is very good at creating the situations and conflicts required sometimes.
Rock Is a Lady's Modesty I love this show. There is this woman in the latter half who tells Lilisa to "have fun" before she starts her adult life. And Lilisa burns with "FUCK YOU" energy. This is not the prelude to maturity. Growing up isn't giving up on living how you want. Fuck you.

Sometimes I even feel weird just writing without having a clear objective in mind. Just passing thoughts and things I feel. And feeling like a discussion never really stops even if we take a break. I know some people don't care for it and really despise it, but for me it was always comforting.
I really feel like something has changed over the last couple of years. Every person I know ended up in some chat group and we exclusively use that. I kinda feel I stopped having 1 on 1 discussions in general. Just sitting there and writing for hours to a single person that would reciprocate

Reading a manga called A Wild Last Boss Appeared! and it's flustrating to see the main character be an MMO player when could have been the tyrant/saviour depicted in the trailer. It's like writers are scared of an character who lacks the frame of reference of a japanese guy.

If you are writing a fantasy manga and you do not include a character like this, why even bother. The kind of characters who took up the mantle of leadership to protect the people around them, they naturally command authority, are very competent (and are scary woman to top it off)

But with an update, they decoupled it from their Ubisoft's servers and resumed support on a smaller scale, updates stopped but the online features still work. Let's be real here, running this server probably has negligible cost. Not every game will be able o retire like this, but I hope many do.
#StopKillingGames My one contribution is: There is a team of people inside Ubisoft that cares about Anno 2070. The game's online features were very scary. The game had global events and upgrades and was almost always online. It felt kinda hostile to you not having internet.

People who used to be challenged by friends, by society, by communities will pick this AI as a refuge. But this AI is not driven by anything, it does not care about anything at all and will never challenge anyone to grow in any way. It's like we are placing rubber balls on every intellectual edge.
Nobody imagined that we would invent a hollow intelligence with no consciousness, completely useless for expanding human knowledge, and this thing will instead just fill all information spaces with endless echoes of things already said and brain rot made by jobless losers.
Man, when I was reading about the singularity as a child, it was presented as this one event where a true conscious AI will suddenly just come into existence in some computer, show us how to travel the stars and humanity will prevail in prosperity and true understanding of itself and the universe.
This is nightmare fuel. I will not watch them.
