Not too bad. Plantar has been plaguing me all summer which has reduced the distances a bit, but hopefully it is getting slowly better. Purchased a new camera body with a macro lens as weop so at least that has kept me occupied in the garden when not doing the day job!

Yeah this was one time where it looked like a really strong possibility. I set up camp but packed up in the middle of the night to get the Lake view. I just didn't expect it to be so good! I remember having to dial down my typical settings as I was overexposing the aurora!
Pretty special. I hadn't expected it to be so visible. At one point it looked like the death star had fired its laser at the mountain. It was just amazing to see it overhead. The last photo was 3.45am and it was still visible to the eye (albeit without colour at that point) and this was looking WSW.
Yeah and the press started their "see the northern lights tonight" regular rubbish! (Along with polar storm/artic freeze etc etc!)
Oh no! I hope you got to see the other major one in October. Now I understand your FOMO 😫
